Terms of Service
These Terms explain how Startup Due Dil provides access to its AI due diligence workspace.
Last updated: August 24, 2026
Operator
Startup Due Dil is operated as an independent sole entrepreneur project under the Startup Due Dil brand.
Service
Startup Due Dil is a software/SaaS product that helps users upload startup diligence materials, run AI-assisted research workflows, and generate structured due diligence reports. The service is not legal, tax, accounting, investment, or financial advice.
Accounts and access
Access is private and may be manually approved. Online access may be authenticated through an email-based access provider, currently Cloudflare Access. Users may receive a one-time code at the email address used for sign-in. Startup Due Dil does not issue customer passwords for normal online access. You are responsible for keeping your email account secure and for ensuring that uploaded materials may be lawfully processed for your diligence work. To activate paid access automatically, first sign in with your account email. If your Paddle checkout email will be different, add that billing email in account settings before purchasing.
Agreement and updates
You must affirmatively accept the current Terms of Service before using the private workspace. If these Terms are updated, Startup Due Dil may ask you to review and accept the new version before you continue using the service. Consent to receive marketing emails is separate, optional, and is not required to use the service.
User materials
You retain ownership of files, comments, fund knowledge base content, and other materials you upload. You grant Startup Due Dil the limited right to process those materials to provide the service, generate reports, operate security controls, and troubleshoot issues when requested.
Acceptable use
Do not upload unlawful content, malware, secrets you are not authorized to process, or materials that violate third-party rights. Do not use the service for unlawful surveillance, sanctions evasion, regulated credit decisions, or other prohibited activity.
Payments and report quotas
Paid plans, when enabled, may be processed by a payment provider, currently Paddle as merchant of record. Paddle may calculate taxes, collect payment, issue invoices, and handle payment-related compliance. Payment events from the payment provider are used to update subscription status and available report quota for the matching account email or linked billing email. One-report purchases add one-time report credits. Subscription plans include the monthly report quota shown on the pricing page. If an account has both an active subscription allowance and one-time report credits, the available reports are additive: the account may use the remaining monthly subscription reports plus its unused one-time credits. Runs use the subscription allowance first and then use one-time credits after the monthly allowance is exhausted. When an active due diligence run is manually stopped, the report unit charged when that run started may be returned to the account if that same unit has not previously been restored. Each report unit can be restored only once after a voluntary stop. If a restored unit is used to start a replacement run and that run is also stopped, the unit remains consumed and is not returned again. A stopped run cannot be resumed; starting a new run consumes quota normally. If a run cannot produce a completed report because of a recorded Startup Due Dil service failure, including a required AI provider being unavailable, timing out, rejecting the service configuration, or lacking operator-funded API capacity, the full report unit charged for that run will be returned automatically. A service-failure return does not use, reduce, or reset the report unit's separate one-time voluntary-stop allowance. Automatic service-failure returns do not apply to insufficient company information or another input-related condition that the service identifies before diligence can proceed. Unused subscription reports do not roll over to the next monthly usage period unless expressly stated otherwise. One-time credits remain separate from the subscription and stay available until used or removed following a refund.
Billing and subscription management
Users can manage eligible subscriptions and payment details from the account settings page. To cancel a subscription, open Startup Due Dil Settings, select Cancel subscription, and complete the cancellation in Paddle's secure customer portal. If Paddle requests authentication, use the email associated with the Paddle purchase and follow Paddle's emailed sign-in instructions. Startup Due Dil does not store payment card numbers. Startup Due Dil may receive billing, customer, plan, invoice, refund, and subscription metadata needed to manage access, report quotas, support, and billing status.
Refunds, cancellation, and access
You may request a full refund through Paddle within 14 calendar days of any transaction, including a one-report purchase, initial subscription charge, or subscription renewal. The 14-day refund right applies even if you accessed the service, started an analysis, or generated a report. Canceling a subscription stops future renewals but does not itself request a refund. If Paddle reports that a subscription remains active until the end of its paid period, Startup Due Dil may keep the subscription quota active until that period ends. An approved full refund removes unused one-report credits or disables the refunded subscription entitlement.
Availability
The service may rely on third-party AI, hosting, security, and payment providers. We work to keep the service reliable, but access may occasionally be interrupted for maintenance, provider issues, or security reasons.
Limitation
AI-generated due diligence can contain mistakes or omissions. Users should verify important findings independently before making investment or business decisions.
